Job Description:
This company is looking for a Sr. Creative Strategist to join Project X, their innovative creative team that is reimagining the way consumers interact with their brand. 
In this role, you will work closely with Project X cross-functional team to define challenges, understand and uncover insights, translating them into actionable creative strategy. You will translate brand and business needs into brand specific strategies that drive continuous improvements in brand, comms, social and content, and ultimately help close the gap on Consumer Decision Journey initiatives. You will partner with Creative, Experience, Production and Marketing Science leaders translating business briefs into creative briefs and clearly articulate how we solve business problems with creative solutions.  
Job Responsibilities:

  • Guide creative strategy for campaigns that are digital-first, shopper-led, insights-driven, on brand and which deliver a premium and memorable experience for shoppers and consumers
  • Review and assess marketing briefs, establish a strategic point of view, and write clear and insightful internal creative briefs
  • Responsible for working within Project X and cross-functionally to understand the brand, audience, and objectives that enable big ideas and informed solutions
  • Collaborate with Customer Experience Strategy and Operations teams to understand and uncover key insights specific to Whirlpool that establish a solid foundation for POVs and creative solutions
  • Lead and collaborate cross-functionally with Project X leadership to conceptualize, propose, pitch, and bring ideas to life for marketing campaigns
  • Drive the proposal and presentation output to deliver inspired solutions that are strategic, objective-focused and on brand
  • Present concepts and proposals to clients compellingly, confidently and convincingly
  • Work with insights and analytics teams to understand post-campaign impact and to inform future work

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8+ years of creative, planning and/or strategy experience
  • Experience in creative agency

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Ability to oversee overall creative strategy
  • Extremely strong creative thinking capability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and superior creative skills (written, visual, and conceptual)
  • A deep knowledge of how creative should be approached for Retail and across ecommerce, digital marketing, direct mail, physical stores, Flagships and experiential marketing
  • A proven track record in the development of creative direction based on insights as well as experience with proposal structure and design
  • Able to articulate complex information into a simple and easy to understand manner
  • Able to find insight within shopper audiences that will unlock bold and effective storytelling
  • Up-to-date with emerging technologies, popular culture, and market trends globally to inspire new ideas and seek industry innovation leadership
  • Astute brief writing skills to transfer insight, direction and inspiration to the creative team
  • An enthusiasm for digital and traditional marketing
  • Exceptional ability to establish and cultivate relationships across business functions and creative teams
  • Calm and flexible approach, ability to manage multiple projects; and thrive in a global, fast-paced retail environment
  • Demonstrated management competencies such as: cross team collaboration, team effectiveness, developing others, attention to detail, flexibility, and delegation
  • Ability to oversee and lead efforts on developing creative vision, writing briefs, building partnerships with other creative entities, and overseeing the execution of creative work.
