Compliance Programs:
1. Assist in the administration of the Bank's Consumer Compliance Programs and Compliance Management Program. This includes creating and/or reviewing the Bank’s policies, standards, and procedures based on regulatory changes, internal audits, and/or examinations by regulatory agencies in coordination with the Compliance Officer.
2. Conduct detailed analysis of identified compliance mandates, changes, concerns, issues, internal or external compliance loss events, and self-identified issues and events.  
  • Advise, lead, or provide support to the business on the adherence with compliance requirements related to process improvements, development of internal controls and monitoring, remediation or corrective action of compliance breakdowns, and changes in laws and regulations.
  • Work with the applicable business owners to assign ownership of action plans; review and approve management’s action plans; approve amended policies, procedures, job aides, and training; and review and approve changes to risk control self-assessments and/or First of Line of Defense testing questions and parameters.
  • Provide effective challenge and guidance on compliance risks.
3. Communicate to the Compliance Officer new products, services, processes, and/or technology introduced into the Bank’s environment for inclusion in the compliance risk assessments.
4. Provide oversight for change initiatives to help identify risks throughout the business process that have regulatory impacts.
5. Provide support for implementation of risk mitigation strategies.    Assist business partners in determining regulatory risk and effectively communicate these risks across all levels of management for an understanding of the risks posed by regulatory requirements.
6. Review regulatory enforcement actions, regulatory bulletins, and supervisory announcements to identify emerging regulatory risks and communicate results to the Compliance Officer.
7. Assist in analyzing trends in Key Risk and Key Performance Indicator metrics.
Compliance Testing:
1. Assist in the development and implementation of testing and/or monitoring processes to determine compliance with all applicable regulations in coordination with the Compliance Officer.
2. Conduct risk-based compliance testing, including ad hoc analysis. Evaluate the effectiveness of compliance risk identification, control design, and control implementation. This includes assessing the adequacy of policies, standards, and procedures.
3. Prepare detailed documentation of the test work performed and related results.
4. Communicate compliance testing results to the Compliance Officer and follow up on identified issues from testing in coordination with the Compliance Officer.
5. Execute the assigned compliance testing within established timeframes.
1. Assist in the development and deployment of appropriate training and oversight programs with respect to regulatory compliance to all teammates.
Stakeholder Support:
1. Perform appropriate research to provide sound, well-reasoned compliance advice and support in the interpretation of regulations and the Bank’s policies and procedures.
2. Serve as a technical expert regarding compliance with laws and regulations and provide direction to others. Answer day to day consumer compliance related requests and questions.
3. Maintain knowledge of consumer compliance regulations and monitor regulatory revisions; ensure that summaries of all revisions are forwarded to Compliance Officer.
4. Maintain and expand expert knowledge of the competitive and/or regulatory landscape and the Bank’s key challenges.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.
