FDCO Overview
The Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) & Derivative Core Operations (FDCO) team perform end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across FICC businesses and provides utility OTC derivative confirmation and settlement services for non FICC businesses.
 
Within FDCO, the teams provide multiple services such as FICC trade control, Foreign Exchange (FX) electronic matching and settlement, Over the Counter (OTC) derivative confirmation and settlement, and commodities operations.
 
Job Description
The NY office is seeking a team member for the FICC EM trade control team. The candidate will support multiple products for the LATAM desk. Direct responsibilities will include validating trade capture, monitoring inventory and ensuring all trades are confirmed and cleared into the risk systems. Additionally, candidate will work closely with various team across multiple regions for clearing, documentation and settlement queries. They will address and resolve any discrepancies with PnL. Candidate should demonstrate leadership ability, work ethic and attention to detail. 2 + years related experience preferably in Emerging Markets, including bonds, IRS swaps/local rates. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively while working in a fast paced environment. This role works closely with a number of business partners including, but not limited to, Front Office, Market Risk, Technology and Compliance.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for developing Trade control processes, e.g., Trade booking, trade validation and ongoing trade maintenance and reporting
  • Partner with existing teams globally to achieve the best in class controls and practices in trade support
  • Pro-actively challenge the status quo, identify and drive change to improve upon the current model
  • Trade capture, monitoring inventory and ensuring all trades are reconciled and STP into the risk systems.
  • Timely response to Sales & Client Services queries regarding the settlement of their trades
  • Buy in Monitoring
  • Liaising with other internal departments(Sales, Pnl, Client Services & Corporate Actions, Repo Trading Desk)
  • Involvement in ad hoc projects for new processes or industry initiatives
  • Breaks investigation and resolution

Desired Skills:
  • Previous experience within a client service team with particular focus on responding to client inquiries
  • Knowledge of Operational Risk
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg API functionality and ability to navigate Bloomberg screens

Enterprise Role Overview:
Responsible for maintaining already developed Trade control processes, e.g., Trade booking, trade validation and ongoing trade maintenance and reporting. Requires product knowledge, knowledge of financial instruments accounting relevant to the area supported. Delivers support for new products and initiatives, provides analysis and KPI/MIS reporting. College degree (Bachelors or higher).
 
Required skills include:

Desired experience includes Internship experience, have 2 to 3 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, experience in working with financial reports, and the ability to effectively manage difficult internal and external client situations.
