Team Overview:
The Finance Change and Production Services (FCPS) team, is part of the Global Financial Control (GFC) organization within the CFO division. The team delivers finance projects and technology solutions for the Bank of America (BAC) enterprise and also supports Line of Business (LOB) projects that impact our core finance and general ledger applications.  Typically, the FCPS team is responsible for overall program/project management, business analysis and requirements, functional design, testing, organization readiness and deployment activities.
 
Role description:
The Sr. Project Consultant role is focused on leading business analysis and project management activities to improve data and technology solutions specific to financial regulatory reporting.  Sr. Project Consultants are the key point of contact for requirement gathering, testing, and operational readiness activities in the software development lifecycle.  They will partner with project management and data management team members to deliver strategic regulatory reporting solutions that mitigate data, regulatory, and operational risk.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Produce business requirements to remediate known data issues in
  • Develop requirements to inform future strategic platform architecture
  • Leverage product expertise to facilitate conversations with Front Line Unit data, business, and technology teams to drive consensus on functional design.
  • Establish working relationships with data owners across multiple lines of business to validate understanding of reporting requirements and ensure complete and timely data submissions
 
Required Skills:
  • Strong understanding of regulatory reporting and key banking products including but not limited to loans, deposits, secured funding transactions, derivatives, and trading assets
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) (finance or accounting preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • 5-8 years professional experience in financial services
  • 3+ years working in a change management capacity
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
 
Desired Skills:
  • Understanding of current regulatory reporting rules and regulations
  • CPA a plus
