Position Description: 
We are seeking a Data Director. This position provides leadership in the API and Integration efforts of the organization. The Data Director will work closely with customers as well as internal departments and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of best-in-class delivery of products and services. They will work to develop and grow a highly scalable API & Interoperability area.  
 
Qualifications:   
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience 
  • Minimum of 7 years of development experience in java or .net 
  • Experience with AWS, WSO2, or similar API gateway/management systems 
  • Experience managing a public API set, including versioning, deprecation, and documentation. 
  • Strong development background with a focus on all aspects of SDLC inclusive of Agile process 
  • Strong leadership skills 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams. 
  • Ability to write reports and required documentation. 
 Primary Responsibilities:   
  • Direct and oversee high-level strategic and tactical decisions for electronic transactions, microservices, and API gateway. 
  • Facilitate organizational data strategies for governance, design, implementation, integration, and usage. 
  • Manage the development team's responsibility for web and microservices as well as product and customer integrations. 
  • Analyze, design, and implement services based on best practices and enterprise integration patterns. 
  • Leverage API Gateway to facilitate implementation requirements for API, 3rd party Integrations. 
  • Oversees the file exchange platform in accordance with best practice security protocols as defined by the CISO. 
  • Work cross-functionally with teams across the IT Engineering department. 
  • With the SQA department to ensure automated Integration testing is in place. 
  • Provide technical and team leadership to the API platform team. 
  • Communicate effectively with the third-party vendors and customers to integrate their applications and systems. 
  • Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization. 
  • Coach and mentor individuals in a continual process with a focus on staff development. 
  • Identify, assess and incorporate best practices throughout the team. 
  • Available to coach, support, and help the team to perform to the best of their ability. 
  • Responsible for delivering the APIs and data feeds on time based on the projects and implementations defined timeline.
