The Cyber Security Operations (CSO) function within Global Information Security is responsible for all aspects of threat intelligence and monitoring, application and network security, and insider threat. In addition, the CSO team drives out the enterprise-wide cyber exercise program.
The Mainframe Specialist will sit within the team that defines policy and delivers capabilities to empower the bank to better control access to its data, systems, and infrastructure. The project consists of hardening access controls to our production environment and may require updates to existing configurations or design of new access configurations.

In this role, the Mainframe Specialist will manage our Third Party Mainframe Security Product - Vanguard.   Such an individual should have the knowledge to be able to work independently, to coordinate with other teams, handle administrative tasks, good communication skills, and the ability to work within a team.  The successful candidate will be a self-starter who will provide primary support all of our various Vanguard products, assist our system support personnel with the installation and rollout of releases, contact with the vendor for patches, or enhancements.  The individual will also be responsible for support and modification of existing batch processes and will need knowledge of job set up.

Required Skills:
  • Previous experience with Vanguard mainframe security product is required
  • Understanding of the principles of privileged and production access
  • Strong discipline regarding enforcement of access management core principles
  • Comfort with both UNIX/Linux and Windows environments
  • Capable of designing configurations for access control in tools such as PowerBroker
  • Attention to detail, confident enough to raise questions when necessary
  • Strong leadership skills and qualities which enable you to network, lead within the organization and influence
  • Experience deploying large-scale, global projects and programs
  • Familiarity with IT security and risk management practices
  • Understanding of financial services regulatory and legal environment
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical and business issues and solutions effectively to business or technical staff across organizational layers
  • Good interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to handle multiple workstreams at a time and respond to rapidly changing demands
