**Two positions available-One position will cover NYC and Upstate NY. The other will cover NYC and Long Island.
This company's Business Capital (“BABC”), the market leading asset-based lending (“ABL”) group and a Unit of this company, N.A., is seeking a Senior Business Development Officer (“BDO”) to deliver creative senior secured financing solutions to large corporate and middle market companies to support of organic growth, M&A opportunities, recapitalizations and refinancing.
The BDO’s primary role is to source new financing opportunities, while leading deal teams through the screening, approval and execution phases of a transaction. In addition to directly calling on prospective clients, the BDO will leverage their external referral network comprised of private equity firms, investment banks, consultants, direct credit lenders, etc., and develop an internal referral network with in the Bank. The BDO should be capable of working on sole bank, club and large syndicated ABL transactions. Some travel is required to meet with prospects and referral sources.
Importantly, the BDO should be a team player who works respectfully and collaboratively with BABC, this company and external partners. Required Skills:
- Strong oral, written and analytical skills.
- Direct calling experience on decision makers at prospects and external referral sources.
- 5+ years of ABL experience (large corporate or middle market experience strongly preferred)
- Series 7 and 63 registrations (if not already licensed, must be achieved within 180 days of start date)
