Job description
The Sr. Business Control Specialist will be responsible for driving key reporting activities and functions withing the Global Operation Regulatory Engagement and Audit Center of Excellence.
In partnership with Global Operations Regulatory Engagement Coordinators, Front Line Unit / Control Function (FLU/CF), and Global Regulatory Relations, this individual will has responsibility for data, tracking and reporting related to audits exams, inquiries and other regulatory matters in accordance with enterprise-wide standards.
Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating effectively with FLU/CF stakeholders to execute enterprise-wide standards pertaining to regulatory and audit engagement
  • Support regulatory exams and audits to ensure consistent exam practices, successful execution, and reduction of risk exposure for the company. This includes ensuring timely response to regulatory inquiries; supporting the execution of ongoing supervision meetings; aiding with preparation of regulatory responses; as well as regulatory activity tracking, reporting and escalation.
  • Partnering with colleagues to share best practices, identify regulatory themes and emerging issues.
  • Communicating and escalating issues and emerging risks in a timely and concise manner to leadership
  • Assist with facilitation of written regulatory responses.
Required Skills:
  • Experience in business operations or support, risk management, regulatory support (or related experience), business controls, or a combination of each within Global Operations, Global Banking and Markets (GBAM), Consumer/GWIM or Risk/Compliance
  • SharePoint, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills. Analytics tools/Tableau
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  •  Self-starter, motivated and reliable; ability to work well and seamlessly within a team without a continuous high level of guidance
  •  Knowledgeable of Bank of America’s business lines, operations, organizational structure, senior executives, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize daily tasks with project work as well as ad hoc requests, adapt to unexpected events, prioritize and multi-task in a deadline-driven environment
