We are looking for a seasoned Technology Manager to lead our technical analysis team. Engages with key stakeholders at all levels. Working collaboratively with Business, Operations, and technology to align strategic objectives, define and manage technology roadmap, and define functional and nonfunctional requirements. Derives continuous improvement and champion agile adoption in the organization
Key responsibilities include
Collaborate with Retirement Investment Team, Product Managers, Operations, and Technology stakeholders to align technology strategy to business strategy, modernize our technology, optimize business processes, and enable the business to compete in the evolving emerging environment
Lead a team of 8+ tech analysts in analyzing and defining the requirements for the core institutional retirement and personal retirement platforms. Ensures requirements meets business needs and deliver a robust technology solution (scalable, secure, reliable, high performance)
Act as the subject matter expert within the retirement business/technical domain
Lead buy/build assessments and cost benefit analysis and derives effective decision making
Derive the organization towards best practices in business modelling, business process engineering. design driven development, process improvements, and create culture of continuous improvement and building innovative solutions
Lead project initiation, scoping, and estimation. Define and manage roadmap. Manage change throughout projects lifecycle
Advocate and advance agile solution delivery practices
Proactively manage, communicate, and escalate risk and ensure successful project implementation
Strong servant leader, promote and encourage a highly collaborative, engaging, and inclusive working practice and culture within the team. Attract and retain strong technical analyst talent
Required Skills
15+ years in leading large-scale applications and defining technology requirements and strategies
Experience developing a team of Business Analysts and leading resource management, succession planning, and personal development.
Experience working in financial services preferably in Retirement Products and services, Funds management, or annuity products
Ability to Influence stakeholder strategy and understand their needs. possess ability to drive diverse group towards common goal, envision solutions, and clearly articulate problems and proposed solutions
Expert in business modelling, business process engineering. and process design & documentation
Change agent with ability to challenge status quo
Experience working in an Agile environment and knowledgeable of software development methodologies
Expert in defining MVP, defining and documenting EPICS/User stories, and grooming product back log
Extensive experience of planning and prioritization of demand to support the organization.
Continuous learner with good understanding of new technology trends and ability to promote innovative solutions
Strong experience in Microsoft office skills including PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Collaboration tools
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology management, or Finance
Desired Skills
Business Analysis Certification/Product Owner Certification
Knowledge in database querying (SQL), data analysis, analytics tools (i.e., Tableau)
Experience in retirement products and applications
