We develops Robotic Technology Kernel (RTK), the Ground Vehicle Systems Center's (GVSC) library of modular software packages, that can be used for common ground autonomy software. The United States Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) GVSC, the U.S. Armed Forces’ research and development facility for advanced technology in ground systems, is dedicated to getting robotics capability into the hands of Soldiers.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for the lead deployment of the software development processes for the ground vehicle autonomous software. Aligns with the process group to understand their needs and drive changes required for the product line. Mentors the development team on state-of-the-art clean code and design documentation techniques, while keeping it aligned with the software release processes. Works on software development as well as in-vehicle integration topics for autonomous ground vehicle systems.
Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. B.S. in Computer Science, EE/CE with at least 5 years of software development experience.
Proficiency in C++/C Experience in developing safety critical software development environment, e.g. ISO26262, DO-178B/C.
Experience in implementing DO-178C (SDP, SVP, etc.) or ISO26262 processes. Experience working with C, Python, and Java. Experience working with GIT, Docker, Agile, Bitbucket, Jira, and SIL. Robotics and autonomous systems experience, e.g., Robotics Operating Systems.
