We are looking to fill 2 Roles:
1 on 1st Shift 4:00 AM to 1:30 PM
1 on 2nd Shift 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM/12:00 AM,
Working 5-6 days a week, depending on production schedule.
Hiring salary starts at $60,000 but can be more depending on experience.
Must be willing to work weekends.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for food safety, food quality, and policy and legal compliance with quality standards of products produced
Provides supervision to FSQA Technicians
Verifies production paperwork
Performs production floor checks
Performs Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and housekeeping audits
Responsible for team member food safety training
Establishes priorities, coordinating with others
Performs physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, documents/records and calculates results accurately, takes corrective action when necessary (i.e., alert appropriate personnel to adjust process, identify, segregate, and isolate non-conforming product), and reports results to management
Interacts with management, USDA Officials, maintenance, and production personnel
Will be cross-trained in other QA positions/duties
All team members are responsible for safety, including but not limited to, personal safety and food safety
Complies with all company and USDA policies/guidelines and reports known or suspected violations
Performs other duties, as assigned.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of two (2) years of food quality experience in a food manufacturing environment; production of ready-to-eat meat products preferred
Must have broad knowledge of HACCP, USDA, GMP, and SSOPs
Prior supervisory experience preferred
HACCP certified preferred
SAP knowledge preferred
Accountable to self and to others – owns and demonstrates support for business decisions
Strong leadership skills – ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce
Strong computer skills – MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to navigate systems and perform data entry
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
Ability to work professionally and respectfully with others while demonstrating positive interpersonal skills, and communicates effectively with all team members
Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect team member safety and/or food quality/safety
Ability to identify, act with a sense of urgency, and resolve problems/inconsistencies
Ability to perform accurate calculations by performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to read, understand, and interpret product specifications
Must function well under stress
Ability to report to work as scheduled and work scheduled hours to meet job expectations, and work weekends
Ability to climb up and down stairs to get to/from work areas, and work at elevated levels
Ability to work in an environment where extreme temperatures range seasonally from hot/warm (80-90°F) to cold (20-40°F), where conditions may be damp and/or wet, and concrete floors may be slippery in some areas
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 45 lbs. below waist, at waist level, and above shoulder level
Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach above, reach across, reach below, and perform repetitive motions
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net / beard guard, gloves, and steel-toed boots
