The Data Science and Advanced Analytics is a part of IaaS (Insights as a Service) team, that is transforming the way this company works. We are seeking experienced members to join the this company who are passionate about data and applying the latest machine learning and computer vision technology to solve business problems. As a Data Scientist supporting the Data Science and Advanced Analytics team, you will be responsible for facilitating the development of the models and tools that progress the company along its digital journey.  In this role, you will work alongside Data Scientists, Data Engineers and the Business to identify the customer requirements to develop and deploy Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Computer Vision models into production using an array of different tools.
 
You will have an impact on the largest protein supplier in the US and the second largest in the world, as part of a team of over 120,000 team members keeping America (and the world) fed. This position reports to the Senior Director of Advanced Analytics & Data Science and is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a quickly growing team with high visibility.

  • Our colleagues have diverse backgrounds; as such, candidates must be comfortable in an environment of whiteboard sessions to bounce ideas around on deployment strategies and approach, among both on-site and remote teammates. Plan on working closely on a diverse number of Data Science & Advanced Analytics initiatives, transforming the company direction
  • We are looking for candidates capable of taking developed predictive and prescriptive models to be scaled, deployed to production and implement Data Science CI/CD pipelines
  • Candidates should educate the Data Science team to build solutions (and their respective environments) that are optimally designed to run at scale
 
What Skills You Need
  • Education/Experience
    • Bachelors (Masters is preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
    • Hands-on of experience in application deployment and/or ML/CV deployment using agile methodologies and a history of container orchestration and/or cloud deployment  
 
  • IT, Cloud, and Deployment Skills
    • Experience with cloud provided services in GCP/AWS, or other major cloud vendor
    • Experience in cloud-based containerized environment such as Docker, Kubernetes and serverless computing
    • Experience deploying with Terraform preferred
    • Prior experience in CI/CD pipelines and a major version control platform (GitHub, GitLab, ADO)
    • Experience with monitoring solutions at scale (Grafana/Prometheus, DataDog, ELK, or other major monitoring stack)
    • Experience in programming and frameworks such as Python, R, SQL, REST APIs and JSON
    • Knowledge in machine learning pipeline tools such as Kubeflow, Google AI Platform pipeline or Amazon Sagemaker a plus
 
  • Machine Learning and Data Science Knowledge (strongly preferred)
    • Knowledge of ML techniques such as supervised and unsupervised
    • Knowledge of Deep learning techniques for Computer Vision and knowledge of using Deep learning frameworks preferably Tensorflow-Keras
    • Experience in deploying models or data driven applications at scale

Travel
  • Ability to work in an onshore / offshore environment and at times with a managed IT service provider
