The Commercial Integrated Care Analytics team supports this company's Integrated Kidney Care. This company IKC is the renal population health management division of this company serving approximately 25,000 end stage renal disease (ESRD) and late stage chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients across the U.S. A key component of this company IKC is our actuarial and healthcare economics lane within the Commercial Integrated Care Analytics team, responsible for value-based contracting and employing advanced analytics to inform our integrated care growth strategy and program evaluation.
 
You will work as a member of this team, leading financial reconciliations and analyzing the performance of our value-based care programs. In addition to reviewing and modeling financial claims data received from external partners, higher-level responsibilities will include applying predictive models, researching health care industry trends, and storyboarding and developing executive-level presentations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The analyst must be able to work successfully with cross-functional teams and have the maturity to interact directly with both peers and executives across departments. The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.
 
  • Apply actuarial underwriting principles to value-based contracting efforts, including baseline and trend calculations and annual financial reconciliations
  • Provide analytical support to this company IKC executive leadership and interdepartmental consumers
    • Cleanse, summarize, and deliver unique insights on claims data received from payor and provider partners
    • Create and maintain actuarial models in Microsoft Excel and other business intelligence applications
    • Develop financial impact and sensitivity analyses
    • Write SQL queries against data warehouses
  • Project Management - ability to execute cross-functional this company IKC implementation plans
    • Develop metrics to track success and meet deadlines
    • Help spearhead broader this company initiatives to utilize data as a strategic asset
  • Develop executive communications, typically done in PowerPoint
    • Research market developments to support strategy formulation

  • Successful candidates will have interest and strengths in data analysis and innovation   QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum two years of experience with business/financial analysis
    • One or more years of relevant actuarial experience in the health insurance industry is preferred
    • Successful completion of one to three SOA examinations is preferred
  • Extensive Excel experience including data manipulation and pivot tables
  • Strong proficiency in all Microsoft applications
